Our Interventions

Rural poverty and deprivation are a major issue grappling the region of rural Mewat. As a result, this region dominated by Meo-Muslims, faces numerous challenges such as the poor status of women, lack of education for girls, financial exclusion, etc. Ibtada's main focus has been to address these challenges and our interventions are designed considering the same. The primary goal of elevating the status of women is achieved through Education, Financial Inclusion, Livelihood Generation, Awareness about Rights and Entitlements. Although Ibtada is hand holding women through the process, the ultimate aim is to make them independent and autonomous to stand up for themselves.

Savings & Credit Based Women's Institutions

Ibdata works on organising rural women to give them economic and social independence through savings and credit based women's institutions, which provide them an opportunity to share, participate, and raise issues concerning their lives and take decisions.

Girls' Empowerment

The lack of education for girls has been one of the important reasons of the poor state of women and girls in the Mewat region. The Girls Empowerment Program is focused upon providing formal and informal education to girls aged 12 to 18 years through Girls Resource Centers (established at village level), career guidance, vocational training, financial support & transport facilities.
