Support the College Fees of One Girl for One Year
Sunita was from a distant village near Ramgarh, living with her parents and three siblings. She was always keen to attend college but with hardly any money to survive, she dropped out of 12th class leaving behind the dream of education.
In the morning, she would go to a nearby chemical factory with her parents to earn a living. In the evenings she would look after her siblings and learn domestic skills. We identified her and carried out regular meetings and counseling with Sunita and her parents motivating them to let her study further. Finally, with our ‘Shiksha ki Udaan’ initiative Sunita got access to transport and fee support facility which helped her to go back to college and continue her education.
Today, Sunita aspires to become an IAS officer and help other girls like her.

40% adolescent girls (15 -19 years age) are out of school and colleges in India!
We started the 'Shiksha ki Udaan' initiative to change that. With crowdfunding support from 60+ individual donors in 2017, we began providing transport facility and college fee support for girls pursuing secondary, higher secondary and college education helping them write their own future.
